In Bilaspur, to prevent Covid, all people above 18 years of age will be given a free precautionary-booster dose from July 15. MLA Shailesh Pandey started this from the district hospital. People between 18 to 59, who have completed six months or 26 weeks of second vaccination of Covid vaccine, will be given a precaution-booster dose at 20 government Covid vaccination centres.
Under the Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav campaign, about 9.5 lakh people in Bilaspur district will receive a precautionary-booster shot. In Bilaspur city, more than 2.7 lakh people will get a vaccine-booster dose. Complimentary camp arrangements will be organized on the demand of every ward, school, government and non-government offices, Dharamshala, and social organizations. It will also be available in 20 health centres, including District Hospital and CIMS Medical College.

On Amrit Mahotsav, this vaccination campaign will run for 75 days from July 15 to September 30, 2022. At present, precaution/booster doses were being administered free of cost to the elderly, health workers and frontline workers above 60 years of age. Under the Kovid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav campaign, now about 9.5 lakh people of Bilaspur will be vaccinated.
