Health min TS Singh Deo attends virtual meeting chaired by Union Min Mandaviya

Raipur: Chhattisgarh health minister TS Singh Deo on Friday attended a virtual meeting chaired by Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya with Health Ministers and Secretaries of all States and Union Territories of the country.

In the meeting, Mandaviya reviewed the preparedness and necessary arrangements to deal with Covid-19 in the country. Emphasizing on increasing genome sequencing and testing in all states, he directed for continuous monitoring.

The Union Health Minister asked the states to ensure necessary infrastructure facilities related to prevention and control of corona in hospitals. He advised for widespread adherence to Covid-appropriate behaviour, including wearing of masks. He also insisted on the compulsory introduction of the precautionary dose of the vaccine to prevent corona for high-risk elderly and vulnerable groups.
