Chhattisgarh’s ‘Sian Jatan Clinic’ gains national acclaim at Ayush Mission Conclave

Raipur: ‘Sian Jatan Clinic’, which operates in the Ayush institutions of the state every Thursday, has received national recognition. Medical Education Secretary P. Dayanand presented this initiative during the National Ayush Mission Conclave held recently at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi, organized by the Union Ministry of Ayush. The conclave showcased excellent and innovative activities being conducted nationwide under the National Ayush Mission. The Government of India included the Sian Jatan Clinic, initiated in Chhattisgarh to ensure proper healthcare for the elderly, as a special activity in this conclave.

During the National Ayush Mission Conclave, Secretary P. Dayanand representing Chhattisgarh provided information about the objectives, functioning, and beneficiaries of the Sian Jatan Clinic. He highlighted that special outpatient services and Panchakarma services for the elderly are conducted every Thursday in all 1,174 government Ayush institutions in the state. Since its inception in May last year, these clinics have offered healthcare facilities to over four lakh senior citizens. The Sian Jatan Clinic received praise as an exemplary initiative from senior officials of the Government of India and officials from other states attending the conclave. They urged Chhattisgarh to provide essential guidance and technical support to establish similar clinics in their respective states.
