Chhattisgarh becomes the country’s fourth state to get NQAS certification at sub health center level

Raipur: Chhattisgarh has become India’s fourth state  to get NQAS (National Quality Assurance Standard) certification at the sub-health center level. After proper evaluation and inspection,Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued NQAS certificates to Amleshwar health and wellness sub center in Durg district and Nisda Health and Wellness sub health center in Raipur district. Moreover,So far  57 government hospitals of the state have been awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate.

Officials said that in the evaluation of health services by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Amleshwar Health and Wellness  sub-health center has got 94 per cent  and Nisda has recieved 93 per cent points on the basis of the quality of services provided. Both the health centers were assessed by the central team in July this year. National Quality Assurance Standard Certification of Health and Wellness Center Sub Health Centers is done on the basis of 12 standards.

For this, the organization evaluates the quality the services on the basis of parameters such as service delivery, patient satisfaction, clinical services, inputs, infection control, support services, quality management and successful outputs. Only those hospitals which pass all the forementioned evaluation are issued quality certificates by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate issued to total 57 hospitals of the state

Meanwhile, a total of 57 hospitals in the state have received the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate. These include ten district hospitals, seven community health centers, 26 primary health centers, 12 urban primary health centers and two sub-health centers. The objective of the National Quality Assurance Standard Certification is to strengthen the facilities of the hospitals and provide quality health care to the general public.
