Baloda Bazaar district hospital to get CT Scan facility by the end of this week
Raipur: In yet another initiative to expand healthcare facilities in the district, Baloda Bazaar district hospital will get a CT Scan facility by the end of this week. District collector Rajat Bansal reached the district hospital on Monday and inquired about the much-awaited CT scan facility being set up in the emergency medicine department.
With the commencement of this facility, the patients will heave a huge sigh of relief as they no longer have to travel to other cities or knock on the doors of private hospitals to get their CT scans done. The cost of a CT Scan has been fixed Rs Rs 800 for the patients admitted to the district hospital and Rs 1500 for the outside patients. The cost of the same varies from Rs 3000 to Rs 5000 in private hospitals and diagnostic centers.
Due to the lack of CT scan in the district hospital during the Corona pandemic period, hundreds of people had to go to private hospitals and get their scans done at much higher prices. However, in view of the long-standing demand and need, the government gave its nod to start a CT scan facility in the district hospital.

The cost of the CT scan machine and related medical equipment installed in the emergency medicine department of the district hospital is Rs 2 crore 98 lahks, which has been imported from Germany, said the officials.
