Guru Ghasidas University vice-chancellor meets union health min, discusses Rs 50 Crore Animal Research Facility

Raipur: Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (Central University) Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, met with Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on February 21 in Delhi. During the meeting, Professor Chakrawal discussed the Central Animal House Research Facility project worth about Rs 50 crore. The project will provide facilities related to animal availability for research in the fields of biotechnology, zoology, and pharmacy, and will boost teaching, training, and research facilities.

The Vice-Chancellor informed the Union Minister about the progress being made in academics, research, and innovation in the university. He also shared information about the facility of inter- and multidisciplinary research, which will start from session 2023, in keeping with the aim of complete implementation of the National Education Policy in the university. Furthermore, he talked about the university’s ‘Swavalambi Chhattisgarh’ scheme for entrepreneurship, which is helping with the registration of companies and students on its portal.

Union Minister, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya expressed hope for the all-round development of Guru Ghasidas Central University under the efficient leadership of Professor Chakrawal. He assured continuous guidance and cooperation for the development of the Central University.
