Gangster Aman Sahu has been killed in an encounter. Jharkhand Police had departed from Raipur with him late Monday evening at 8:11 PM to take him to Ranchi. The police claimed that the vehicle met with an accident near Palamu. Following the accident, gangster Aman allegedly snatched a police weapon and attempted to flee.
It is reported that he also opened fire on the police. In response, the police team fired back, killing him. Aman had been brought to Raipur on October 14 in connection with a firing incident on a businessman. Since then, he had been lodged in Raipur’s Central Jail for 148 days.
On March 7, in the Bariatu police station area of Ranchi, near the Government Girls High School, indiscriminate firing was carried out on the car of coal businessman Bipin Mishra. Bipin Mishra and his driver were also shot. When the coal businessman’s bodyguard returned fire, the attackers fled.
According to information, this firing was carried out by his henchmen on the instructions of Aman Sahu, who was in jail. Jharkhand Police had arrived in Raipur to take gangster Aman Sahu for questioning in this case.
The vehicle in which gangster Aman was being taken was equipped with high security and a team of armed police. Aman was seated in the vehicle, with the police team sitting on both sides with guns. Another team of Jharkhand Police was traveling in a separate vehicle in front.
More than 50 cases are registered against Aman Sahu in various police stations across the state, including Ranchi. Aman’s gang is active in demanding extortion in Ranchi, Ramgarh, Chatra, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, Palamu, Latehar, and Bokaro.
The gang is targeting coal mining companies, coal traders and transporters, builders, contractors, and businessmen for extortion. If they do not receive the extortion money, the gang’s henchmen either fire at the offices of those businessmen to intimidate them or shoot them.
In the last 6 months, more than half a dozen cases of extortion and firing have come to light. Due to the fear of gangster Aman’s gang, many businessmen have now reduced going out of their homes. They are afraid that they might be shot for not paying extortion money.
“Vikas Tiwari, Aman Srivastava, and Aman Sahu, these three criminals are running their gangs from jail.
