Raipur: A tragic accident in Raipur on Thursday claimed the lives of five people when a speeding car broke through the divider and collided head-on with an oncoming truck. The impact was so severe that the bodies had to be extracted using a JCB.
CCTV footage of the incident shows the car losing control, crossing the divider, and entering the wrong lane. Preliminary investigations suggest that a tire burst may have caused the accident. The collision occurred in the Mandir Hasaud police station area.
Rescue operations were carried out using a crane and a JCB to separate the car from the truck. The car was severely damaged, and officials had to cut it into two parts to retrieve the bodies.

- Mohammad Miraj Khan (35), resident of Urla
- Mohammad Kitabuddin (30), resident of Urla
- Amjad Khan (33)
Upon receiving the news, ASP Rural and police personnel reached the spot to manage the situation.

In another tragic incident in Raipur’s Dharsiwa area, a couple lost their lives when a truck hit their motorcycle near Malod. The victims were identified as:

The couple was returning home from a wedding when the accident occurred. Following the incident, angry villagers blocked the road in protest. The blockade lasted for five hours and was lifted only after police officials addressed their concerns.
Tractor-Trolley Overturns in Narayanpur, Three Dead
Meanwhile, in Narayanpur district, a tractor-trolley overturned due to potholes on the road, resulting in three fatalities and injuring 12 others. Two of the injured are in critical condition.
Authorities have urged drivers to remain cautious and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such accidents.
