Five from Indore among six killed in Rajnandgaon road mishap

Six young men, including five from Indore, were killed and another was seriously injured in a horrific road accident in the Baghnadi police station area of Rajnandgaon district on Friday. The accident occurred after a speeding car collided head-on with a truck.
The victims, all aged between 26 and 34, were travelling in a Maruti Ertiga from Nagpur to Puri, Odisha. They were going for a religious trip and had reportedly visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain earlier.
The accident took place at about 5 am near Chirchari village. According to Additional Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev, the car veered into the opposite lane and was hit by an oncoming truck. The impact was so severe that the car was completely mangled, leading to the immediate death of six occupants.
The deceased have been identified as Akash Morya (28), Govind (33), Aman Rathore (26), Nitin Yadav (34), and Sanjay Kesari Sethi, all residents of Indore. The sixth victim, Biranil, was from Odisha.
The injured person, Sagar Yadav, also from Indore, was admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital with critical injuries.
Police have sent the bodies for postmortem and a case has been registered. Initial investigations suggest the car driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing the vehicle to lose control.
