Two hardcore Naxals were killed in a fierce encounter that took place in the Tekalgudam village located on the border of Bijapur-Sukma districts of Chhattisgarh on Saturday. The Naxal organization has released pictures of the slain Naxals, including Madvi Raje, the female Naxal of Section Commander Company Number 2, and Madvi Bojja, a member of Battalion Number 1.
During the encounter, three soldiers were martyred, and 14 soldiers were injured. The Naxals have also released a video of the looted belongings taken from the martyred soldiers. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai, and State Home Minister Vijay Sharma have been informed about the responsibility of this attack. However, security forces have claimed that only 6 Naxals were killed in the encounter, refuting the Naxals’ claim of killing 50.
A press note issued by the South Regional Bureau of the Naxals, along with images, states that the police force had established a new camp in Tekalgudam, which was attacked by the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) of the Naxals. In this encounter, 3 soldiers were martyred, and more than 16 were injured.

The police camp in Tekalgudam was opened on Tuesday, and on the same day, the soldiers who went for searching were attacked by the Naxals.
Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai had previously stated that they would continue their fight against Naxalism. They are standing strong with their soldiers in all circumstances. He mentioned that new camps are being established to provide basic facilities to the common people and strengthen the security system.
The Naxals, who considered certain areas their stronghold, have been disturbed by the intrusion of security forces and increasing influence. They are resorting to cowardly acts.
Three years ago, in 2021, there was a fierce encounter between Naxals and the police in Tekalgudam of Bijapur district, resulting in the martyrdom of 23 soldiers and more than 35 injuries. The Naxals had carried out the attack during their Tactical Counter Offensive Campaign (TCOC).
On April 3, 2021, around 350 to 400 Naxals were involved in the encounter in Tekalgudam in the Tarrem police station area of Bijapur district. Major leaders of the Maoists were also present. The soldiers were attacked with a heavy quantity of BGL (Barrel Grenade Launcher). The Naxals also looted weapons from the soldiers of DRG, CRPF, and Cobra Battalions. A Cobra Battalion soldier, Rakeshwar Singh Manhas, was also kidnapped during the encounter.
