Fake Letter Attempting to Tarnish Image of Chhattisgarh Government and Home Department Goes Viral on Social Media

Raipur. A fake letter is going viral on social media to tarnish the image of the Chhattisgarh Government and Home Department. A fake signature in the name of Under Secretary Manoj Kumar Srivastava is on the letter, which states that it was issued by the Home Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh in the name of all the Superintendents of Police.
With the Home Secretary getting information about this fake letter, Under Secretary Manoj Kumar Srivastava at Rakhi police station in Raipur has lodged an FIR.
Some unidentified person has attempted to damage the reputation of the Government and the Home Department by fabricating fake documents that include the name and title of the Under Secretary and spreading them widely on social media.
Based on the complaint received, an offence punishable under section 419, 469 of IPC has been registered against the unknown accused in the Rakhi police station and taken into consideration.
