Fake Hologram Case: Stay on UP STF action, approval granted to send Anil Tuteja back to Chhattisgarh

Raipur
The Supreme Court has stayed the actions of the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) in the fake hologram case. The court made this decision based on a petition filed by the accused, Vidhu Gupta. The fake hologram case is linked to the Chhattisgarh liquor scam, and Vidhu Gupta, the owner of Prism Company, which manufactures holograms, was arrested in connection with it.
In fact, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had filed an FIR in Kasna, Noida, concerning the Chhattisgarh liquor scam. The UP STF team was investigating this FIR. Based on this FIR, the UP STF had arrested Raipur businessman Anwar Dhebar,  who is the brother of  Mayor Aijaz Dhebar, and former Excise Officer Arunapati Tripathi.
Meanwhile, the Meerut court accepted an application presented on behalf of Anil Tuteja and granted permission for his return to Chhattisgarh. The Meerut court stated, “Permission is granted to appear in another court on the condition that the accused is presented on the scheduled dates in this court.” Now, Tuteja can be brought to the Raipur court.

The accused had also filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court against the FIR filed in the fake hologram case. After the Allahabad decision, the petition was taken to the Supreme Court, challenging the FIR registered at the Kasna police station in Noida.
The FIR names former Special Secretary of the Excise Department, AP Tripathi, businessman Anwar Dhebar, retired IAS officer Anil Tuteja, former Excise Commissioner Niranjan Das, and Vidhu Gupta, Director of Prism Company, which supplied the holograms.

It is claimed that after securing the tender, Vidhu Gupta began supplying duplicate holograms to an active syndicate in Chhattisgarh. This supply was carried out under the instructions of the then MD of CSMCL (Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited), Arunapati Tripathi. Syndicate members would take the duplicate holograms from Vidhu Gupta and deliver them directly to three liquor manufacturing companies.
In these

distilleries, the holograms were affixed to illegal liquor bottles, which were then transported to CSMCL shops using fake transit passes. The creation of fake transit passes was facilitated by officials and employees of the Excise Department across 15 districts in Chhattisgarh.
