Efforts to be made to get all colleges in Chhattisgarh assessed under NAAC: Min Umesh Patel

Raipur: Higher education minister Umesh Patel, has expressed his delight over the Department winning the SKOCH Silver Award in “Project Assessment and Accreditation” at the national level. He said that the Higher Education Department of Chhattisgarh has been honoured with this award at the national level for improving the level of higher education as per the instructions of Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel. It is the endeavour of the Department of Higher Education to include all colleges in Chhattisgarh under the NAAC assessment.
Patel has congratulated and extended his best wishes to the officers and employees of the Higher Education Department for this achievement.
Meanwhile, a campaign has been started under Mission Mode to ensure educational infrastructure and academic management in accordance with the various criteria of NAAC, and to improve the level of higher education. Chhattisgarh ranks first in the country after 197 government colleges were assessed under NAAC out of 211 colleges. On June 20, only 32 government colleges had undergone NAAC assessment.
