Raipur
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will now be part of joint operations against Naxalites. A decision to this effect was reportedly taken during a high-level meeting in Raipur where officials discussed the “Plan of Action to Naxal” strategy, focusing on terror funding.
The meeting saw the participation of Inspector Generals (IGs) and Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) from Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. Officials from the ED and National Investigation Agency (NIA) also attended, discussing recent disclosures related to terror funding. Joint operations between the ED and NIA were emphasised. IB Special Director Ritwik Rudra chaired the meeting.
