Raipur: The district administration is making necessary arrangements for the successful organization of ‘Mainpat Mahotsav’ scheduled to be held from February 11 to 13 this year. The fest is organized to promote tourism at Chhattisgarh’s popular hill station Mainpat falling under the Surguja district. District collector Kundan Kumar has already appointed nodal and assistant nodal officers to look after the preparations. The work of cleaning the fair site and removing bushes has been started under the direction of SDM Sitapur and Janpad CEO Mainpat. Besides, along with painting the retaining wall of the road in Mainpat’s ghat, attractive paintings are also being made to enhance its beauty.
Meanwhile, a three-day long ‘Mainpat Mahotsav’ is proposed to be organized near the Ropakhar reservoir of Mainpat from February 11 to 13 this year. Tourists and residents of the district will be able to enjoy the cultural performances by the invited and local artists, departmental stalls, adventure sports, and fair here. This grand festival is gaining popularity across the country. People from across the state and country attend the fest to witness nature at its best in this beautiful hill station.
