Daughters of 1464 labourer families have been benefitted under Mukhyamantri Noni Sashaktikaran Yojana

Raipur: Under Mukhyamantri Noni Sashaktikaran Sahayata Yojana of Labour Department, daughters of more than 1464 laborers have been benefitted in the state. Nearly Rs 3 crore has been transferred in the bank accounts of these daughters so far. Under the scheme, financial aid of Rs 20,000 each is provided to the daughters of eligible laborers to make them self-reliant and empowered.
Chhattisgarh government has made several arrangements to improve the standard of living of the labourers in the state and to ensure their overall economic and social upliftment. The objective of Mukhyamantri Noni Sashaktikaran Yojana is to make the daughters of labourers strong and self-dependent. Labourers registered under Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board is eligible to avail the scheme. Labourers have to register online on the official website of the department to get benefitted under the scheme. It is noteworthy that children of labourer families, especially the daughters, often have to leave their studies in the middle because of their family’s weak financial condition.
With an aim to empower these daughters socially and financially, Chhattisgarh Government has decided to provide them financial aid for education, employment, self-employment and their marriage. These benefits are provided to only the first two daughters of the eligible labourer family under Mukhyamantri Noni Sashaktikaran Sahayata Yojana. Besides the eligibility criteria also include the following- age of the daughters should be between 18-21 years, should be unmarried and such beneficiaries should not have availed Minimata Kanya Vivah Yojana operated earlier by the Board. It is also necessary that the daughter of a registered construction worker should have passed at least STD 10th.
