Raipur: Covid-19 cases are rising at an alarming rate in Chhattisgarh with 98 new cases in seven districts on Sunday. After health minister TS Singh Deo, his nephew Adityaeshwar Saran Singh Deo has tested positive for Covid-19.As per a release from the health department, 4608 samples have been tested till 8.30 pm on Sunday. A of total of 98 new cases were detected on Sunday. These patients came only from seven districts Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Balrampur, Jashpur, Kanker and Bemetara. Out of these patients, 90 infected are from only three districts Raipur, Durg and Bilaspur.Maximum 42 new patients were found in Raipur, 36 in Durg-Bhilai and 12 in Bilaspur. 4 patients have been reported in Balrampur, 2 in Jashpur and one each in Bemetara-Kanker.Meanwhile, 42 people were discharged after treatment on Sunday. All these people were in home isolation. Now the number of active corona patients in the state has increased to 696. The maximum number of 197 patients are being treated in Raipur.
