CM Sai Condoles Death of ASP Akash Rao Girpunje in Naxal Attack

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Akash Rao Girpunje, who was killed in a cowardly improvised explosive device (IED) blast by Naxals in Konta, Sukma district.
Chief Minister Sai said the incident was “extremely tragic” and offered his respects to the martyred officer.
The Chief Minister also stated that some other officers and jawans were reported injured in the attack. He has issued instructions for their proper treatment.
Chief Minister Sai noted that security forces are fighting a major battle against Naxals in Chhattisgarh, achieving continuous success. He said Naxals are resorting to such cowardly acts out of frustration and “will have to face the consequences.” He added that the day is not far when Naxalism will be completely eradicated from Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Sai extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the martyred ASP Akash Rao Girpunje, assuring them of the state government’s full support in this time of grief.
