In a first, Kanker dist hosp gets MRI machine

Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on on Sunday inaugurated an MRI machine at the district hospital in Kanker. On the occassion, he said that the state government is committed to strengthening health facilities and will continue to work towards improving them. He expressed his belief that the MRI facility in the district hospital will greatly benefit the people of the area.

Meanwhile, Kanker District Hospital is the first in the state to have an MRI machine, which was installed at a cost of Rs 6.49 crore. Patients will now receive its benefits with the help of specialist doctors, and timely detection of diseases will result in accurate treatment. People in Kanker and surrounding areas will no longer have to go elsewhere for MRI scans.

MRI machines are special medical examination devices that can detect numerous diseases, providing quick and accurate diagnoses. They are used to detect brain, bones and muscles, soft tissue, chest, tumor-cancer, stroke, dementia, migraine, blockage of arteries, and genetic disorders. MRI scans can provide accurate information about the disease.

Earlier, patients in the area were referred outside for MRI scans, but now this can be done at the District Hospital Kanker, which will save time and money for patients. With quick investigations, the real cause of the diseases can be identified on time, and the treatment can move in the right direction.
