CM Bhupesh Baghel inaugurates newly-built glazing unit at Kumharras in Dantewada

Raipur: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday inaugurated a newly-built glazing unit at Kumharras in Dantewada district. Addressing the gathering on occasion, chief minister said that the unit will help in enhancing skills and boosting the income of local potters of Dantewada. This will also provide them with better market opportunities. Baghel inspected the whole premises and took a glimpse of the machines installed at the unit and the products prepared by the potters. The potters also presented him a statue of ‘Gajraj’ made by them. While interacting with potters, Baghel said that there is a huge potential in our folk art and for their full exploitation, the work of encouraging glazing units through Matikala Board is being done by the state government. With the help of modern machines installed in the glazing unit, potters will be able to prepare beautiful clay material in less time. Having such a display unit in one place will also help them tap into a better market.

Chhattisgarh Matikala Board Chairman Balam Chakradhari informed Baghel in detail about the Kumharras Glazing Unit. He said that modern machines like ball mill, blenzer, agitator, and filter press have been installed here, through which the work of Matikala becomes easier. Chief minister stressed on the importance of training saying that it helps in enhancing the skills and increases the business prospects. Matikala will get a huge expansion with the commencement of a glazing unit in Dantewada.
