CM Baghel urges youth to enter politics, says the state’s progress depends on them

Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel delighted youth at a Bhent-Mulakat program in Raipur’s Indoor Stadium. Enthusiastic speaker Master Someshwar Ganjir, hailing from Dhamtari, passionately delivered a speech on “Sapno ka Chhattisgarh” using verses from the Rigveda. Impressed by Someshwar’s speech, the Chief Minister called him on stage, hugged him, and bestowed his blessings. The stadium echoed with applause as Baghel praised the young speaker’s impactful words.

During an interactive session, engineering student Shagun Srivastava asked about the government’s efforts to involve youth in politics. Chief minister emphasised that more young people actively joining politics would lead to an educated leadership, which may ensure the progress of the state. Encouraging youth to join politics, he shared his own journey. Bhujesh Kumar from Dhamtari asked the chief minister about his struggles during his studies. Remembering the past, the chief minister shared the issues of roads, electricity, and drains in his village, thinking that only an MLA could solve these issues. This fueled his aspiration to become an MLA himself, and through persistent efforts, he achieved his current position, dedicated to resolving people’s problems.

In a significant event, the chief minister engaged in direct interaction with numerous youths hailing from various regions of the Raipur division. The youth shared their concerns and demands, and he not only attentively listened to them but also made important on-the-spot announcements. These included the posting of dentists in rural areas for two years, the introduction of a PG course at the Government Girls College of Dhamtari district, the appointment of physiotherapists in health centres, the provision of hostels in the physiotherapy college, and the recruitment of teachers in schools for the Chhattisgarhi language. The Bhent-Mulakat program with the youth commenced with Rajyageet ‘Arpa Pairi Ke Dhaar, Mahanadi He Apaar’.

During the event, enthusiastic youth expressed their aspirations, poems, and speeches about their dream for Chhattisgarh in front of the Chief Minister. Pranav Kumar, a PSC aspirant, urged for the release of preliminary examination mark sheets and the implementation of transparency measures, and the Chief Minister assured him of considering the demands. Dharmesh Nayak, a tattoo artist, requested the declaration of Mahadevghat as an art centre to support tattoo artists, and the Chief Minister assured him of considering the suggestion. The interaction showcased a positive engagement between the Chief Minister and the youth.

Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya student Bhojraj Dhangar requested to appoint trained art teachers in government schools. The Chief Minister responded, stating that with the opening of new colleges affiliated with the Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, this would be extended to schools too. Devendra Satnami from Kasdol requested free bus tickets for college students. The Chief Minister assured a positive initiative in response to this demand.
