CM Baghel to engage directly with Raipur division’s youth in ‘Bhent-Mulakat’ event

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to engage with the youth of Raipur division during his ‘Bhent-Mulakat Yuvao ke Sath’ programme on Sunday. The upcoming event is anticipated to strengthen the connection between the state’s youth and the government, fostering a conducive environment for progress and development.

The event will take place at the Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in the state capital, Raipur. Chief minister Baghel will engage with the youth from all five districts of the division, including college students, members of Mitan clubs, and aspirants preparing for competitive exams, among others.

To ensure the successful organization of the programme, Collector Dr Sarveshwar Bhure recently convened a meeting with senior district officials, discussing the detailed outline of the event and necessary arrangements pertaining to law and order, ensuring timely preparations. Municipal Commissioner Mayank Chaturvedi, Zila Panchayat CEO Abinash Mishra along with other officials attended the meeting.

The direct interaction drive with youth marks an expansion of the chief minister’s previous state-wide public interaction drive–‘Bhent-Mulakat Abhiyan’, designed to connect with citizens across all assembly constituencies, addressing their concerns and garnering feedback on government schemes. In this upcoming ‘Bhent-Mulakat’ with youth, Baghel will discuss Chhattisgarh’s progress, initiatives focused on youth development, accomplishments, and aspirations with the youth.

Through this programme, the chief minister will actively seek views and suggestions of the youth to contribute towards building ‘Mere Sapno ka Nava Chhattisgarh’ (new Chhattisgarh of my dreams). The ideas received during the programme will be carefully incorporated into formulating plans aimed at developing a progressive Chhattisgarh. A highlight of the event will be the direct interaction between the chief minister and the youth, allowing them to pose questions and receive firsthand responses.

Notably, over the last four years, chief minister Baghel has prioritized youth welfare through several beneficial decisions, such as fee waivers for competitive exams, the successful implementation of the state’s employment mission, and the facilitation of large-scale government recruitments. With the ban on recruitment lifted, nearly 20,000 government positions are being filled, while job fairs are being organized to offer numerous job opportunities. Furthermore, over 1.17 lakh unemployed youth receive monthly unemployment allowances, with more than Rs 80 crores already disbursed to their accounts.
