CM Baghel pays tribute to Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla and Shaheed Vidya Charan Shukla on their birth anniversary

Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid homage to the first Chief Minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh, Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla, and former Union Minister Shaheed Vidya Charan Shukla on their birth anniversary by offering floral tributes at his residence office today. Recalling the contribution of Pandit Shukla to Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that he played a leading role in the national movements of the Indian freedom struggle. He made significant contributions in raising public awareness for the country’s independence in Chhattisgarh.
He added that Ravi Shankar was not only a skilled lawyer and politician but also a remarkable speaker and writer. He is also known as the architect of modern Madhya Pradesh. In memory of his innovative efforts in the social, economic, and educational fields, the Chhattisgarh government has instituted the Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla Samman. His teachings as a leader will always guide us, and his efforts for the progress of Chhattisgarh and maintaining social harmony will be forever cherished.
Remembering Shri Vidya Charan Shukla, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that Vidyacharan Ji is known for his efficiency as a politician and administrator. He represented Chhattisgarh for many years as a Union Minister and held important responsibilities in various Ministries of the Government of India, including Communications, Home, Defence, Finance, Planning, External Affairs, and Parliamentary Affairs. As a Union Minister, Vidyacharan played a crucial role in promoting the development of Chhattisgarh and the nation. The martyrdom of Vidya Charan in the Jhiram Valley Naxalite attack will never be forgotten by the people of Chhattisgarh. His significant contributions to Chhattisgarh will always be remembered.
