Raipur: Governor Anusuiya Uikey was accorded a warm farewell at the state hangar today, and she received a guard of honor at the airport. Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel bid farewell to Uikey by presenting her with a floral bouquet. Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr. Charan Das Mahant as well as the Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Korba MP Jyotsna Mahant, and MLAs Satyanarayan Sharma and Brijmohan Agarwal, also bid farewell to the outgoing Chhattisgarh Governor.
Meanwhile, Uikey has been appointed as the Governor of Manipur. The new Governor of Chhattisgarh, Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, will arrive at Raipur Airport tomorrow at 9:45 am. Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, Additional Chief Secretary Subrat Sahoo, Commissioner of Raipur Division Yashwant Kumar, Chief Minister’s Secretary Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, General Administration Department Secretary Kamalpreet Singh, Governor’s Secretary Amrit Khalkho, Ajay Yadav, Raipur Collector Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, and Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Kumar Agarwal were also present on the occasion.
