CM Baghel acknowledges delegation’s gratitude for 27 per cent salary hike for contractual employees

Raipur: A delegation from the ‘Chhattisgarh Sarva Vibhagiya Samvida Karmachari Mahasangh’ (Chhattisgarh All Department Contractual Employees Association) expressed their appreciation to chief minister Bhupesh Baghel for the remarkable 27 per cent salary hike granted to contractual employees. The delegation, which met the chief minister at his residence office yesterday, conveyed their gratitude and also informed him about the withdrawal of their indefinite strike.
The salary hike decision is set to benefit contractual employees across various departments and schemes in Chhattisgarh. Baghel assured the delegation of the state government’s commitment to employee welfare, evident through multiple initiatives, including increments in Dearness Allowance (DA) and house rent. The supplementary budget has also been approved, ensuring a substantial 27 per cent increase in the salaries of contractual employees.
During the meeting, the delegation submitted a memorandum outlining their other demands to chief minister Baghel. He assured the contractual employees that their concerns would be addressed, and appropriate actions would be taken based on their demands.
State President Kaushalesh Tiwari and other members of the delegation, including Sudesh Yadav, Hemant Sinha, Ashok Kurre, Sanjay Soni, and Vijay Yadav, were present during the meeting with the chief minister.
