Clashes between security forces and Naxalites in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh have led to significant losses for the Naxalites.
Clashes between security forces and Naxalites in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh have led to the deaths of eight insurgents since Friday morning. Reports have confirmed the deaths of 8 Maoists. Reports indicate that security forces have surrounded the top Naxalite leaders in the forests of Pidiya in the Gangalur area. There is currently a confrontation between the forces and the Naxalite West Bastar Division Committee.
It was reported that the hardcore Naxalite commanders, such as Linga and Paparav, are hiding in Pidiya. Key Naxalite leaders from DKSZC, DVCM, and ACM groups are members of the Naxalite committee. In response to this intelligence, troops from Dantewada, Bijapur, and Sukma initiated coordinated missions in the mentioned districts.
More than 1200 personnel from the District Reserve Guard, Special Task Force, Central Reserve Police Force, including the Cobra Battalion, have surrounded the area. Sources indicate that some Naxalites have been shot. However, official confirmation has not yet been received. Bijapur Superintendent of Police Jitendra Yadav has confirmed the clash to Dainik Bhaskar.
\29 Naxalites lost their lives in a confrontation in Kanker
On April 15, security forces in the Maad area of Kanker district eliminated 29 Naxalites. Naxalite leader Shankar Rao was also part of the group. In the confrontation, three soldiers, including BSF Inspector Ramesh Choudhary, sustained injuries. As part of the operation, 5 AK-47 rifles were found at the location. \Twenty-nine Naxalites were killed during a clash in Kanker.
29 Naxalites lost their lives in a confrontation in the Maad region of Kanker district. In the morning of April 29, a total of 10 Naxalites, valued at 63 lakh rupees, were eliminated in a confrontation with DRG and STF troops. Additionally, three female Maoists were part of the incident. Subsequently, the identities of all the deceased were confirmed. \Naxalites wear helmets while riding bikes and use them to shoot.

During confrontations with the security forces in Chhattisgarh, the Naxalites wear motorcycle helmets and engage in gunfire. Not all Naxalites engage in this behavior; only those who handle sniper rifles, light machine guns (LMGs), or those utilizing Under Barrel Grenade Launchers (UBGLs) within a team or battalion. The forces have killed 91 Naxalites in Bastar through operations from January until now. Besides the conflicts in Kanker and Narayanpur, there was also a clash on April 6th at the border of CG-Telangana states. Three Naxalites lost their lives in the clash. Meanwhile, on April 2nd, during the encounter in Karacholi of Bijapur, 13 Naxalites were eliminated. One Naxalite was killed in Dantewada on April 5th in an encounter.
