Currently, the admission process is ongoing in colleges, and student organisations have put up posters across the Chhattisgarh College campus to recruit new members. Both organizations have been preparing to attract new students.
It is reported that on Tuesday afternoon, a poster put up by one of the student organizations on the college campus was torn down and thrown away. A video of the incident was recorded and shared. As soon as the video went viral, a large number of activists from both student organizations gathered at the college.
Initially, there was an argument between ABVP and NSUI activists. Police personnel from the Civil Lines police station were present at the scene, but the situation escalated, and the activists started fighting. The police officers who tried to intervene were also assaulted by the activists. However, neither of the student organizations filed a complaint.
A few days earlier, there was a similar clash between the activists of both student organizations at Science College over poster tearing. However, no complaints were filed by either side at that time, and the matter was resolved. A few days later, a similar incident occurred at Chhattisgarh College.
Along with other colleges in the state and Raipur, Chhattisgarh College also organized an induction programme. Various preparations were made to welcome the new students. On their first day at the college, the new entrants witnessed a fight between the two student groups. The induction program was overshadowed by the chaos.
