Chhattisgarh Tourism Board to introduce alcohol service at resorts

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) is gearing up to offer alcohol service at its resorts in response to tourist demand. The tourism department has proposed the establishment of separate bars within the resorts, and permission has been obtained from the state government. CTB PRO Dr. Anuradha Dubey said that bars are being set up in five of the state’s resorts, with guidelines currently being prepared for the same. Tourists will be able to avail of the bar service from the end of May or the beginning of June.

The department has chosen five resorts where a good number of tourists visit. In the first phase, bars will be set up in the luxurious Chitrakote Resort, Koynar Highway Treat Kunkuri Jashpur, Shaila Tourist Resort Mainpat, Hareli Eco Resort Barnawapara, and Bagha Ethnic Resort Saroda Dadar Chilfi Ghati. After receiving a good response from tourists, the department will consider opening bars in the remaining resorts as well. The department is preparing guidelines for opening bars in these five resorts, outlining the services to be provided to tourists. Bar services will be available from the end of May or the beginning of June.
