Chhattisgarh records 762.9 mm average rainfall so far

Raipur: An average rainfall of 762.9 mm has been recorded in Chhattisgarh since June 1, 2022. The highest rainfall of 1778.4 mm was recorded in the Bijapur district while the Surguja district recorded the lowest average rainfall of 302.7 mm. This is according to the district-wise rainfall statistics from June 01 to August 12.

According to the information received from the state-level control room for flood disaster management, Surajpur has received 415.8 mm of rainfall since June 1. Similarly, Balrampur received 369.3 mm rainfall, Jashpur 414.7 mm, Koriya 440.8 mm, Raipur 580.3 mm, Balodabazar 728.0 mm, Gariyaband 843.4 mm, Mahasamund 732.6 mm, Dhamtari 863.7 mm, Bilaspur 864.6 mm, Mungeli 866.8 mm, Raigarh 669.0 mm, Janjgir-Champa 855.1mm, Korba 562.3 mm, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi 645.9 mm, Durg 723.5 mm, Kabirdham 786.8 mm, Rajnandgaon 806.8 mm, Balod 901.5 mm, Bemetara 508.6 mm, Bastar 1094.5 mm, Kondagaon 856.1 mm, Kanker 970.6 mm, Narayanpur 861.2 mm, Dantewada 1128.4 mm and Sukma recorded an average rainfall of 788.9 mm.
