The initiative gathered momentum following a meeting between the Chief Minister and representatives of Google India, including Sanjay Jain and Rakesh Ranjan. The meeting took place at the Chief Minister’s residence office in Raipur.

Officials said a Letter of Intent (LoI) has been signed between the Raipur district administration and Google to roll out the ‘AI-enabled Education Campaign’ as a pilot project in the district. The programme will focus on integrating AI-driven innovations into school education and equipping teachers with modern digital tools.

Under the ‘Saksham Shikshak Abhiyan’, more than two lakh teachers across the state will be provided AI certification and training. In the initial phase, 200 teachers will undergo specialised workshops with hands-on training in Google for Education tools, focusing on improving classroom delivery and student learning outcomes.

The Chief Minister said integrating AI into education is a decisive step towards making students globally competitive, while enhancing teaching quality and fostering new-age skills. The initiative aligns with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the broader Digital India mission.

Senior officials, including the Chief Minister’s Secretary Mukesh Bansal and Raipur Collector Gaurav Singh, were also present at the meeting.
