Chhattisgarh IAS Officer Ravi Mittal Appointed Deputy Secretary in PMO

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has appointed Ravi Mittal, a 2016-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

According to an official memorandum, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the appointment for a tenure of four years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders.

Mittal currently serves as Commissioner of Public Relations (CPR) in the Chhattisgarh government. He has also held the additional responsibility of Joint Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Prior to this, he served as District Collector of Jashpur.

The 32-year-old officer, an MBBS graduate from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, is recognized for his administrative work in the state. His transition to the PMO is seen as a significant move, where he will handle policy coordination and administrative tasks at the central level.
