Chhattisgarh Housing Board earns ₹435-cr revenue in 6 months

RAIPUR
The Chhattisgarh Housing Board (CHB) has earned a record revenue of ₹435 crore in the last six months by selling 2,230 properties. This figure is significantly higher than the revenue earned in the past five years. Officials said the One-Time Settlement Scheme-2 (OTS-2) was a game-changer.

Housing and Environment Minister O.P. Chaudhary said the board’s aim is to provide every family with a secure and dignified roof. The achievement is a result of the beneficiaries’ trust and the team’s dedication, he added.

The board will now focus on providing quality housing. Chhattisgarh Housing Board Chairman Anurag Singh Deo said the board is planning to launch new housing projects at affordable rates. The board is also working on improving digital registration, e-housing, and payment processes to make them more transparent and user-friendly. He said the board’s goal is to make Chhattisgarh a leading state in the housing sector.

The OTS-2, launched by the state government this year, has provided relief to many people. A total of 1,160 properties worth ₹176 crore were sold under the scheme. Previously, the OTS-1 (September 2021 to March 2024) resulted in the sale of only 506 properties worth ₹88 crore over three years.

On average, the board sold 1,387 properties annually, with a value of around ₹262 crore. However, from March to August 2025, the figure reached 2,230 properties and a revenue of ₹435 crore. Of these, 1,070 properties worth ₹259 crore were sold under the Atal Vihar and General Housing Scheme, while 1,160 properties worth ₹176 crore were sold under the OTS-2, with discounts of up to 30%.
