Chhattisgarh Govt Seeks Farmers’ Input to Rename Farmer’s Loan Book, Offers Rs 1 Lakh Reward

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Government is planning to change the name of the Farmer’s Loan Book. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has invited suggestions from the farmers for the new name. The farmer whose suggestion is accepted will be awarded Rs one lakh. He emphasized that he values the perspectives of the farmers, as they play a vital role as “annadata” (providers of food) for everyone.

Taking to Twitter, the official handle of Chief Minister’s Office wrote “During his ‘Bhent-Mulakat’ programme, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has sought suggestions from the farmers for renaming the Farmer’s Loan Book. The farmer whose suggestion is accepted will receive a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh. Chief Minister expressed his deep regard for the well-being of all farmers and thus refers to them as “annadata” (providers of food).
