On November 20, 2024, the global community united to celebrate World Children’s Day, a momentous occasion marking the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Spearheaded by UNICEF, this year’s theme, “Listening to the Future,” underscored the need to empower children by amplifying their voices and recognizing their role in shaping a just and inclusive world.
With the help of Raipur Municipal Corporation, key landmarks such as Shaheed Smarak, Jai Stambh Chowk, and Nagar Ghadi Chowk shone bright in blue, a powerful symbol of solidarity for children’s rights. Across communities, vibrant events at venues like Jaistambh and Anupam Garden included awareness drives, cultural programs, and interactive activities, all designed to place children at the heart of the dialogue.
Chhattisgarh Agricon Samiti (CAS) emerged as a pivotal force in these celebrations, aligning its mission of grassroots transformation with the global advocacy for child rights. CAS initiatives highlighted the importance of creating safe spaces for children, focusing on mental health, education, and protection to ensure their holistic development.
This World Children’s Day reminds us of our collective responsibility to listen to children’s dreams and aspirations. By fostering their voices and ensuring their rights are upheld, we take a significant step toward building a brighter, more equitable future. Let us recommit to this cause, inspired by the energy and hope of the world’s youngest changemakers.
