Raipur:On the occasion of World Bicycle Day on Friday, bicycle rally was organized under the joint aegis of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and Trip & Trippers at Telibandha Marine Drive to Hotel Grand Imperia via VIP Road, Phundhar Chowk.
Chitrarekha Sahu, Vice President of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Managing Director Anil Kumar Sahu (IFS) flagged off the rally aimed at making people aware of environmental protection, oil conservation and health. In order to encourage people towards cycling, Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, Climate Change and Forest Department Prem Kumar, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Anil Kumar Sahuparticipated in the cycle rally and they covered 7 km cycle ride to motivate the other participants.
It was decided to organize cycle riding in tourist places in future by providing information about the tourist places of Chhattisgarh, tourism board resorts and facilities available to the participants involved in cycle rally. Participants were distributed certificates.
