Tarang Khurana Appointed National Chairman of Young Indians (Yi)
New Delhi, December 23, 2024 – Tarang Khurana, a prominent advocate for renewable energy and community development, has taken charge as the National Chairman of Young Indians (Yi), a movement under the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) aimed at empowering the youth to lead India’s future.
With over 20 years of impactful contributions in the field of solar energy and rural development, Tarang Khurana, Director of Icon Solar-En Power Technologies Pvt Ltd, has been instrumental in bridging technology and sustainability. He has successfully spearheaded solar energy initiatives in rural India and played a pivotal role in “Project Masoom,” Yi’s flagship program against child sexual abuse.
As the former Chair of Yi’s Raipur Chapter (2019) and Regional Chair – East, Khurana has driven initiatives focusing on education, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. Under his leadership, Yi is set to adopt the 2025 national theme, “Rising Bharat,” which aims to bring inclusivity and societal betterment.
In his vision statement, Khurana emphasized strengthening advocacy efforts and enhancing Yi’s engagement with millions of stakeholders within Yi and CII’s ecosystem. “Our focus will be on empowering communities, fostering entrepreneurship, and building sustainable partnerships to address emerging challenges,” he stated, urging all 7,200 Yi members across 71 chapters to actively contribute to the vision of a progressive and inclusive India.
The movement is expected to gain significant momentum under Khurana’s leadership, further solidifying its role in shaping India’s future.
