Seven uniformed Maoists were killed in an encounter in Bastar. On December 10, 2024, a joint team comprising the District Reserve Guard (DRG) from Narayanpur, Dantewada, Jagdalpur, and Kondagaon districts, along with the STF and CRPF, was deployed for an anti-Naxal search operation in the southern Abujhmad region, and as of December 12, 2024, intermittent encounters between the joint security forces and Naxalites have been ongoing since the early hours of 3 a.m., with seven uniformed Naxalites’ bodies recovered so far during the operation, which is still underway, and detailed information is expected to be released separately once the operation concludes.
