Rajyotsav 2022: Chhattisgarh govt gears up to organize grand festivities on state foundation day
Raipur: Chhattisgarh government is gearing up to organize grand festivities and colourful events to mark the celebrations of State Foundation Day–Rajyotsava. Chief secretary Amitabh Jain chaired a high-level meeting of officials from Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhavan) late on Wednesday, to discuss preparations for the 22nd Rajyotsava and the National Tribal Dance Festival as well as the State Award Ceremony to be organized on this occasion.
He has directed the officers of various departments to ensure that the aforementioned events should be organized in a dignified yet splendid manner. Chhattisgarh Rajyotsav will be held from November 1 to November 3 at Science College Ground, Raipur. DGP Ashok Juneja was also present in the meeting.
In the meeting, the chief secretary directed the officials of culture department to make all the arrangement for the upcoming event of Rajyotsava. Officials have been instructed to submit the necessary information regarding the awards conferred by various departments of the state to general administration department by October 15.
Meanwhile, State Award Ceremony will be organized on November 1. Chief Secretary has given instructions to all the departments of state government to ensure preparation of display brochures, pamphlets, hand bills and audio-videos for wide publicity of the schemes and achievements of their respective departments.
“Rajyotsav serves as an amazing platform, where government departments can easily inform general public about the activities and progress of their respective departments”, he said.
Chief Secretary has directed the officials concerned to constitute an organizing and coordination committee at the earliest. Instructions have also been given regarding the on-site arrangements at Science College ground, i.e. the venue of Rajyotsav. It was informed in the meeting that artists from all the states and union territories of India would be invited to participate in the National Tribal Dance Festival. The public representatives of Chhattisgarh will personally visit different states to invite participation.
