Rahul Gandhi launches Chhattisgarh Gramin Awas NYAY Yojana
Raipur: MP Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday inaugurated the “Chhattisgarh Gramin Awas NYAY Yojana” during the “Awas Nyay Sammelan” held in Parsada village, Takhatpur development block, Bilaspur district.
The Gramin Awas NYAY Yojana is set to benefit 47,090 houseless families in the state during its first phase. In the coming years, a staggering total of 10,76,000 individuals will benefit as the program is rolled out in phases. Furthermore, the Chhattisgarh government has committed to providing housing to the remaining 6,99,439 eligible families on the permanent waiting list of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural).
During the event, a sum of Rs 5 crore was disbursed at a rate of Rs 1 lakh each to 500 beneficiaries of the “Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Awas Sahayata Yojana.”
Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel marked the occasion by inaugurating and participating in the Bhoomipujan for 414 development and construction projects valued at Rs 669.69 crore in the Bilaspur district. They also personally handed out appointment letters to 2,594 selected teachers and forest rights certificates to 1,117 beneficiaries in urban areas.
Additionally, Rahul Gandhi and chief minister Bhupesh Baghel toured various stalls set up at the venue, met with scheme beneficiaries, and personally distributed house approval orders, assistance checks, tricycles, and more. They also inaugurated the Ganiyari-Nagoi Garment Factory, which is operated by a self-help group.
