We are trying to work on our tagline – Andhatav mukt Chhattisgarh – Roshan Chhattisgarh, and hopefully, we will achieve this soon. Under this program, we have started one static Vision centre at Raipur transport nagar where we provide free eye screening for truck drivers, helpers, transporters, mechanics etc. and distribute free near and distance spectacles supported by Sightsavers and funded by Chola. The second program is in Korba and Raigarh, where we have free eye screening camps for the same targeted population and free spectacles. And now we will implement this mobile eye check-up unit van at Durg Bhilai for those targeted population with the same process” comments Dr Charudutt Kalamkar, Director and Eye surgeon, Shri Ganesh Vinayak Eye Hospital.
