Monsoon Session of Assembly beginsac

The five-day monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly began on Monday at 11 AM. A total of five sittings are scheduled. The state government will present the supplementary budget on Monday. On the first day of the session, the opposition Congress members have strategized to corner the Vishnu Deo Sai government by bringing a motion to adjourn business over the Baloda Bazar arson incident.

In the Congress legislative party meeting held late in the evening on Sunday, a strategy was devised to bring a motion to stop work on different issues almost every day. Additionally, Congress is preparing to corner the government on issues such as law and order, the crisis of fertilizers and seeds, encounters in Bastar, illegal sand mining, and the incident in Arang.
The monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly is expected to be tumultuous. According to information, 965 starred and unstarred questions have been submitted so far. Additionally, more than 50 attention-drawing proposals have been submitted.


During the five-day session, the government may present important amendment bills. Additionally, the opposition has strategized to corner the government on several issues. According to information from the Assembly office, 90 percent of the questions this time have been asked online.


Significant announcement expected from the government during this monsoon session. A decision regarding LPG gas subsidy might be made in view of the upcoming municipal elections.
