Mega renovation campaign;School buildings, ashrams and hostels of the state to be renovated

Raipur: In a bid to improve the infrastructure of schools, ashrams, hostels, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to prepare a special action plan for the repair and maintenance work of numerous school buildings, ashrams and hostels of the state. 

He has also asked to include the repair and maintenance work of government buildings such as collectorate, sub-divisional and tehsil offices, police stations, outposts where a large number of people visit for government work.

Baghel has asked the Chief Secretary to prepare a plan for repair and maintenance of educational institutions and other government buildings and has asked to present it in the upcoming cabinet meeting. He further said that after the formation of the state of Chhattisgarh, no attention was paid to the repair work of school buildings, ashrams and hostels, due to which many school buildings were facing difficulties in terms of infrastructure. 

He has said that before the commencement of the next academic session, it is necessary to upgrade, repair and maintain the schools, ashrams and hostel buildings. Similarly, there is a need for repair, maintenance and arrangement of other government buildings where the general public keeps visiting.
