Raipur: Story of Pushplata Parkar from Pathariya Doma is inspiring for all the women entrepreneurs across the state. Pushplata came all the way from Pathariya Doma to meet chief minister at Bhent-Mulaqat programme.
With sheer hardwork, resilience and a confident demeanor, Pushplata has earned nearly Rs 1.50 lakh this year by selling washing powder in 15 villages on an e-rickshaw. Around a year ago, Pushplata attended the training of making washing powder, organized by the Panchayat Department. She dedicatedly worked on creating a quality product and a trustworthy brand. She took the product to nearby villages, but there she faced competition with the existing national brands.
On being asked why her product should be used instead of the national brands available, she confidently replied that the quality of her product speaks for itself, use it and then believe. Pushplata was selling a quality product on a reasonable price, and people could see conviction in her presentation. Soon the demand took off. She started supplying washing powder in 15 nearby villages. Soon she bought an e-rickshaw for transportation of goods.
With support of her husband, Pushplata aims to gradually expand her business. She told that becoming an entrepreneur has given wings to her hopes and dreams. She was taught during the training that good products on reasonable price sell the best. So she works day and night to maintain the quality of her product.
Besides developing entrepreneurial skills, Pushplata has also picked up money management skills. Apart from her business, she is investing in her children’s future as well. Her daughter Khyati is studying in Swami Atmanand School Bori.
