Maoists on the back foot due to coordinated efforts of Centre and State: Baghel

Raipur. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Tuesday that the Naxals are on the back foot due to the joint efforts of the central and state governments. The Chief Minister also credited the pro-people policy of the state government.
The Chief Minister addressed a crucial meeting of the Unified Command here on Tuesday. State Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, and many senior officers attended the meeting.
The Chief Minister appreciated the coordination between the Paramilitary Forces and the State Police. Many camps have also opened in Naxal areas. Aadhaar and ration cards have been given in Naxalite areas of Bijapur and Sukma, and schools are functioning. Along with this, we have improved road connectivity and installed telephone towers.
While countering the statement of BJP MP Santosh Pandey, he said that his history is tainted. Everyone knows what Nathuram Godse did. Everyone knows what happened in the Jhiram Ghati incident. The kind of performance he gave two days ago shows his nature.
On BJYM’s demonstration, the Chief Minister said that the BJYM worker abused the police for doing their duty honestly during the agitation.
