Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi and CM Bhupesh Baghel visit stalls at Awas NYAY Sammelan, interacted with beneficiaries

Raipur: Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi attended the ‘Awas Nyay Sammelan’ programme held in Parsada village, Sakri, Bilaspur district on Monday. Accompanied by chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, he visited several stalls set up at the venue, interacting with beneficiaries and gaining insights into various welfare schemes.

MP Gandhi inquired about the satisfaction levels of beneficiaries who had availed benefits of the state government’s welfare programmes. He asked them about their contentment with the assistance received. In response, Dilharan Verma, a beneficiary from Bemetara district, expressed his gratitude for receiving housing approval through the Socio-Economic Survey list prepared by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. He shared how this approval had turned his dream of home ownership into a reality, extending heartfelt thanks to the Chhattisgarh Government, MP Rahul Gandhi, and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

Radha Maravi, from Kabirdham district, shared her challenges of living in a small room but expressed extreme happiness as her housing application was approved under the Chhattisgarh Gramin Awas NYAY Yojana.

‘Chhattisgarh Gramin Awas NYAY Yojana’ was officially launched from Parsada in Bilaspur district today. Under this scheme, house sanction letters were distributed to 30,000 beneficiaries. The scheme has provision of financial assistance of Rs 1.20 lakh in general areas and Rs 1.30 lakh in inaccessible regions. The initial instalment of Rs 25,000 per beneficiary was disbursed to those without homes.

During their stall visits, MP Rahul Gandhi and chief minister Bhupesh Baghel also met newly appointed teachers and assistant teachers, inquiring about their sentiments upon securing these positions. The newly appointed teachers expressed their happiness, stating that they never expected to receive their appointment letters personally from MP Rahul Gandhi and chief minister Bhupesh Baghel. Shivangi Verma, one of the newly appointed teachers selected for Bhandargaon, Udaipur, conveyed her joy at being chosen. Gandhi extended his congratulations and best wishes to all the newly appointed teachers. Notably, more than 2000 newly appointed teachers and assistant teachers from the state were presented with appointment letters during the programme in Parsada village today.

In the stalls, MP Rahul Gandhi, accompanied by chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, engaged with beneficiaries of various schemes, including Forestland Rights Letters, Rajiv Gandhi Ashray Yojana, Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Awas Sahayata Yojana, and Mukhyamantri Noni Sashaktikaran Yojana, conveying their congratulations and best wishes.

During the stall visits, beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Awas Yojana stated that they had received cheques of Rs 1 lakh each from the government for housing construction under the scheme, greatly facilitating their construction efforts. Similarly, Savita from Sakri, Bilaspur, had previously hesitated to build a house due to the absence of a forestland rights certificate for the land she had resided on in the urban area for a long period. However, with the land rights certificate in hand, she now feels empowered to construct her permanent residence without fear. Sukrita Patel, a beneficiary of the Rajiv Gandhi Ashray Yojana, expressed her joy at the prospect of gaining ownership rights as per the scheme’s rules.

MP Rahul Gandhi and chief minister Bhupesh Baghel also visited stalls related to the Narva Development Programme, Honey Processing Unit, and herbal products, where they gathered essential information. Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel provided MP Rahul Gandhi with insights into the progress of the Narva Development Programme in the state, receiving warm appreciation from Rahul Gandhi.
