Former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh Raises Concerns Over PDS Rigging and IAS Ranu Sahu’s Arrest.

On the arrest of IAS Ranu Sahu, former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that there would be an inquiry and that an investigation was going on.

In a discussion with the media, Dr Raman Singh said on Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s statement on ED-IT that when there is nothing above and below, then why is Director Mines in jail for seven months? The director alone cannot do anything. The Mineral Department belongs to the Chief Minister; if the director is accused of any crime and found guilty, then the Chief Minister’s consent will be final.

Dr. Raman Singh said that there has been rigging in the PDS system. State government data shows that the Central Government released 1 lakh 65 thousand metric tonnes of rice. Under the food security scheme, this rice was supposed to reach the entire district, but 68,900 metric tonnes of rice went missing.

In the CAG report, former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that under the scheme, poor families were supposed to receive 10 kg, and 5 kg of additional allocation was to be made during the coronavirus. But, the government did not give the extra rice to the poor. We have been raising these issues.

On MLA Pramod Sharma Jogi’s resignation from Congress, Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said that the doors of the BJP are open for him. Along with this, on Amit Shah’s visit, the former Chief Minister said that they will discuss how to get success from the point of view of the organisation and the upcoming assembly elections.
