Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann to address a public rally in Bastar on Sept 16.

Dispatch News.
Raipur. With eyes on Bastar’s tribal seats, Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Delhi’s Chief Minister, along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, are gearing up for a significant tour of Chhattisgarh on September 16. The duo will address a massive rally in Jagdalpur, located in the Bastar region.
This tour marks his third visit to Chhattisgarh within three months, underscoring the party’s increasing focus on the state’s political landscape. Previously, on July 2, a large AAP rally in Bilaspur witnessed the enthusiastic participation of thousands of party workers, setting the stage for their Chhattisgarh campaign.
Ahead of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann’s visit, AAP’s state coordinator, Sanjeev Jha, had already arrived in Chhattisgarh. According to an official statement from the AAP, Jha convened a meeting with ten prospective candidates for the upcoming assembly elections. The discussions extended beyond candidate selection, encompassing crucial political strategies and the party’s grassroots activities assessment. Sanjeev Jha also shared valuable insights to bolster the party’s chances of electoral success.
In a previous instance, AAP had organised an event called “Kejriwal Ki Guarantee” in Raipur, unveiling a set of promises to address critical issues in Chhattisgarh.
The primary focus of the AAP in Chhattisgarh is on the tribal seats in the Bastar region, where the party is making a determined effort to field candidates for all 90 assembly seats. Komal Hupendi, the state president of AAP, also hails from the Bastar region. Consequently, Arvind Kejriwal’s visit to Jagdalpur is considered a crucial move in this strategic political endeavour.
Before his tour, three prominent figures (from Chhattisgarh) announced their membership in the Aam Aadmi Party. These notable individuals include Anubhav Tiwari, a close associate of Chhattisgarh Congress leader Charandas Mahant and social worker; DS Dehari, a retired DSP from Kanker; and Bhojraj Sahu from Dhamtari.
Arvind Kejriwal has presented ten guarantees for Chhattisgarh on August 19, detailing nine key announcements. In an exciting conclusion to his address, he hinted at a tenth guarantee tailored for tribal communities and farmers, which he plans to unveil in detail during the next rally in Chhattisgarh.
