CREDAI Honors CM Baghel for Reviving Chhattisgarh’s Real Estate Sector
Raipur: In recognition of the Chhattisgarh Government’s commendable efforts to rejuvenate the real estate sector and facilitate property acquisition, CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India) has honored chief minister Bhupesh Baghel. The prestigious accolade was presented during the STATECON-2023 event organized by CREDAI Chhattisgarh in Nava Raipur under the theme ‘Badhta Hua Chhattisgarh’, celebrating the state’s remarkable achievements.
At the event, Chief Minister Baghel launched the CREDAI Chhattisgarh App and inaugurated CREDAI’s youth wing in Bhilai, Durg, and Bilaspur.
Addressing the gathering, chief minister Baghel emphasized the positive impact of the Chhattisgarh Government’s various public-welfare schemes, which injected around Rs. 1.6 lakh crore into the economy. Despite challenges posed by the pandemic, Chhattisgarh led the nation in restarting industries and supporting farmers and laborers through initiatives like the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojana and full salary payments to government employees.
Highlighting policy decisions that spurred the real estate sector, Baghel mentioned a 30 per cent reduction in land guideline rates that catalyzed investment in land transactions and revenue generation. The flexibility in small plot registrations and reduced guideline rates contributed to increased revenue.
Acknowledging the sector’s resilience amid demonetization and the pandemic, he announced upcoming projects such as Aero City and the Wholesale Corridor in Raipur, aimed at boosting local trade and commerce.
Housing and environment minister Mohammad Akbar praised the state’s resources and lauded Chief Minister Baghel’s leadership in achieving consistent progress. He urged CREDAI to devise affordable housing solutions for low-income individuals.
CREDAI’s National President, Manoj Gaur, expressed gratitude for chief minister Baghel’s real estate-friendly decisions. The President of CREDAI Chhattisgarh, Sanjay Raheja, commended the chief minister’s supportive approach and highlighted the state’s growth across various sectors.
Numerous CREDAI members, including national and Chhattisgarh unit officials, were present at the event.
