Covid-19 preparedness in Chhattisgarh: Mock drill conducted in Dhamtari district hospital amid BF.7 sub-variant scare
Dhamtari: A mock drill was conducted today at Dhamtari District Hospital along with other districts of the state to ensure their readiness to deal with a possible outbreak of fresh Covid-19 cases. According to the information received from the Civil Surgeon cum Chief Hospital Superintendent, during the mock drill, the oxygen supply in all the oxygen outlets of the 25-bed Covid ward to be started in the hospital, purity, and pressure of oxygen in the oxygen plant with 1000 LPM and 425 LPM capacity were checked. Along with this, life-saving equipment including ventilator, multipara monitor, and oxygen concentrator were switched on and tested. Apart from this, it was also ensured that essential medicines and consumables, P.P.E. kits, rapid kits for Covid testing, and N-95 masks are available in sufficient quantity. Civil surgeon, resident medical officer, oxygen plant operators, and health staff were present during the mock drill.
