Congress Chhattisgarh in-charge Kumari Selja’s sudden visit to Raipur heats up political atmosphere

Chhattisgarh Congress in-charge Kumari Selja’sunscheduled visit to the state capital on Tuesday and subsequently her marathon high-level meeting with senior party leaders at chief minister’s residence has heated up political atmosphere of the state.
Assembly Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant, Health Minister T S Singhdeo and Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu were among the leaders present in the meeting along with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
The meeting lasted for about 3 hours, after which PCC chief Mohan Markam was the first to leave the CM House.
Singhdeo told reporters that the meeting focused on the election preparations and it was not a sudden affair. Seljahas given instructions regarding the election strategy. Divisional level campaigns will start in the coming days.
Singhdeo however said that no discussion was held to change the organizational structure.
“I was fasting, I didn’t eat anything there. I got mangoes which I will eat at home,” said Singhdeo when he was asked by the reporters regarding atmosphere inside the hall.
Responding to the question whether there will be any change in the Congress organization, Singhdeo said that the Congress has to get 75 plus seats as the work has been good.
Responding to the question whether ED’s action was discussed in the meeting, Singhdeo said that all saw what happened in Karnataka and the same will happen in Chhattisgarh.
Regarding the presence of the Speaker, Singhdeo said that there was a Congress meeting.
